Sunderland RCA are delighted to announce the signing of versatile midfielder Andre Bennett ahead of the 2026/27.
Bennett returns for a second spell in Ryhope as he continues an impressive non-league career following his graduation from the Middlesbrough academy system.
The new arrival enjoyed time at Gateshead, Bishop Auckland, Whitby Town and West Auckland before his brief initial spell at RCA in 2022.
A return to West Auckland and Whitby followed, and Bennett has spent the last three seasons as a regular for Newcastle Benfield in the EBAC Northern League Division One.
On his return to the club, Bennett said: “It’s good to be back! I’ve got a few friends here and after speaking to the gaffer I’m just really excited to get going. I enjoyed every minute of it the last time I was here, and there’s no reason we can’t aim high this time around.”
When asked what supporters can expect to see from him this season, Bennett replied: “Cool, calm, collected.”
